The -F6- code just shown on our Kenmore. I did as the instructions over tell and the humming stopped,it went earlier to displaying the correct time, and I put a bowl of Mac&Cheese in to test it. It works fine. The "Door Switch relay" is stated,I'm wondering is it going bad? Also, the door is slammed shut by the teenager in the house,as is whatever else on hinges. Could the slamming of the door be part of the problem?https://bakingevaluation.com/whirlpool-mk2227as-27-stainless-steel-trim-kit-for-countertop-microwaves-by-kitchenaid/

Hi - Your Kenmore Microwave is manufactured by Whirlpool. Their list of error codes are as follows:F2 —Keyboard Failure: Refer to the Tech Sheet and also conduct a touch panel continuity test.F3H —Humidity Sensor Failure: Refer to the Tech Sheet and test the sensor.F6 —Microwave Relay Failure: Check the microwave relay.F7 —Microcomputer Board Failure: Change the microcomputer system board. The F6 error code which is flashing on your microwave refers to a faulty relay. However, I would suggest that you initially try to run a diagnostic (which you might not have the ability to, yet it is helpful if it works). Here is how:The microwave range might be gave through a self diagnostic regimen that can be operated through the touch pad keyboard. To enter the self-diagnostic routine:1.While pushing the CANCEL keypad:a) Open the oven door.b) Unplug the microwave range for 2-seconds and also plug it earlier in.c) Release the CANCEL keypad and also cshed the oven door. You will certainly check out the complying with screen.CHARTNOTE: The humidity sensor test results will certainly appear on the screen after 8-secs.If the tests are effective, "OK " will be displayed. If one or more of the tests fail, "ERR " will be displayed.. 2.When a keypad is pressed, a number according to the test chart will be displayed. When no keypad is pressed, a blank "—" is shown. If you want to try to fix it your self, Almeans remember Electricity is dangerous and also need to be treated with respect.Microwaves are extremely dangerous, they deserve to still shock you even unplugged!!
